COCOA CAKE IN A PAN 
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. boiling water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar and oil and eggs. Mix in salt, vanilla, buttermilk and soda. Combine rest of ingredients. Stir in boiling water. Pour into long pan (approximately 12x15 inches). Bake 40 minutes. Frost while cake is hot.

FROSTING:

1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
3/4 c. regular milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix ingredients (all but vanilla and powdered sugar). Bring to boil, stir constantly Boil gently 2-3 minutes. Add powdered sugar and boil 1 minute more. Add vanilla and beat until slightly thick. Punch holes in cake with fork, pour over cake while hot.
