COCONUT CREAM PIE 
3 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
2 c. milk
3/4 c. coconut
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked pie crust

Beat egg yolks and gradually add sugar, salt and flour mixture. Then add the milk. Cook over low heat and stir until it thickens. Add coconut and vanilla; also add butter to this.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
Pinch cream of tartar
3 tbsp. sugar

Beat whites with cream of tartar until frothy, then add sugar gradually. Beat stiff. Brown in 400 degree oven.
