DIETETIC APPLE PIE 
6 sweet Delicious apples (red or golden)
2 1/2 tsp. Adolph's sugar substitute OR 1/2 c. Sugar Twin
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. butter (optional)
Pastry for 2 crust pie

Place sliced apples with about 2 tablespoon water in covered heavy saucepan and steam for a few minutes to tenderize; watch carefully and do not scorch. Remove from heat and add sweetener which has been mixed with spices. Stir together and place in pastry lined pan (or several small pans); dot with butter if you choose. Place top crust in place, seal edges, flute and bake in 400 degree oven about 30 minutes or until nicely browned. (Can also be made with just apples and spices and no sweetener at all if you choose. Be sure to use very sweet, ripe apples). It is a good idea to taste mixture just before putting in crust, as apples vary in sweetness and you might want to add just a little more sweetener.
