PICKLING RECIPE 
1 gal. beets
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cloves
1 stick cinnamon
3 1/2 c. vinegar
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. allspice

Cook beets until tender. Cover beets with mixture and simmer for 15 minutes. This is good to pickle eggs, heart or tongue.
