5 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. mace or 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour loaf pan. Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour, a bit at a time. Beat well. Pour into loaf pan and bake 1 hour.
