SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 c. sugar
3 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
6 eggs, separated

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks, one at a time. Mix the soda with the cake flour and mix in sour cream and flavoring. Beat egg whites stiff and fold them into cake mixture last.

Turn batter into a buttered angel food cake pan or 2 buttered loaf pans. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Shorter time for loaf pan.

If you don't have cake flour, take out 3 tablespoons flour (all-purpose) and add 3 tablespoons cornstarch.

This is the only pound cake recipe I use! Always loved by who ever eats it. I think it's the egg whites folded in at the end and the 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 almond extract.
