FRUIT COBBLER 
1 stick butter
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1 qt. heated sweetened fruit (peaches, cherries, strawberries, blackberries,
or rhubarb)

Melt butter in a 9 inch square pan and set aside. Mix flour, sugar, and milk in a mixing bowl. Beat well. Pour over top of melted butter, but do not stir. Pour heated, sweetened fruit over flour mixture. Bake at 375 degrees until pastry rises to top and browns, about 30 minutes. Makes 6 generous servings.
