CHERRY JELLO SALAD/DESSERT 
1ST LAYER:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. cherry Jello
3 c. boiling water
1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling

2ND LAYER:

1 pkg. Dream Whip or 1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
2 (3 oz.) cream cheese
1 c. miniature marshmallows

FOR TOPPING:

1/4 c. walnuts

Mix Jello and boiling water. Add cherry pie filling. Pour into 8 or 9 inch square pan. Refrigerate for 4-6 hours.

After Jello is set, whip Dream Whip according to package directions or use 1 container of Cool Whip. Set aside.

Melt cream cheese in microwave just until soft. Add marshmallows to cream cheese while it is still warm. Microwave a little longer if needed to melt marshmallows completely.

Stir together cream cheese, marshmallow mixture and the Dream Whip or Cool Whip. Spread on top of Jello mixture. Sprinkle with grated walnuts for decoration. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
