SAWDUST SALAD 
1 (17 oz.) can apricots, drain & chop (save juice)
1 med. can crushed pineapple, drain & save juice
2 pkg. orange Jello
1 c. mini marshmallows
2 c. hot water

Dissolve Jello in hot water and add apricot juice (let chill). Fold in apricots, pineapple and marshmallows. Let gel.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. pineapple juice
1 c. Cool Whip
3/4 c. grated cheese

Combine sugar and flour. Blend in egg and butter. Add pineapple juice and cook over low heat, stirring until thick. Let cool and fold in Cool Whip. Spread over Jello. Sprinkle with grated cheese just before serving.
