BUTTERSCOTCH CRACKLES | |
1 c. brown sugar 1 c. white sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. butter 1 egg, unbeaten 2 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. cream of tartar 2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt Cream together sugars and shortenings. Add egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, tartar, soda, and salt and mix to above. Roll into small ball, then into granulated sugar. Do not flatten. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees until golden brown, flat and cracked on top (about 8 to 10 minutes). |
