ALMOND FLAVORED DANISH PUFF 
1 stick soft butter
1 c. flour
3 tbsp. cold water

Cut butter and flour together as you would for pie crust and add water. Split dough in half and spread into 2 strips about 12-14 inches long by 3-4 inches wide on ungreased cookie sheet. Don't let strips touch.

PART 2:
1 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract
1 stick butter
1 c. flour
3 eggs

Put water in saucepan and add extract. Bring to a boil and add butter. When butter is melted remove from range and add flour all at once and mix well with spatula. Add eggs one at a time (beat one egg until absorbed into mixture, the 2nd, (same) and then 3rd egg. When completely mixed, place on top of Part 1. Bake.

FROSTING:

1 c. confectioners' sugar
Cap full of almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla

Add milk to the consistency you want. Spread on puff, then sprinkle with chopped nuts and cherries.
