1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
1 lg. pkg. reg. vanilla pudding
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
1 c. coconut

Prepare cake mix according to instructions and bake. Cool slightly and poke holes in the cake with a wooden spoon handle. Heat sugar and crushed pineapple in a pan until boiling. Cool slightly and pour over cake, spreading evenly. Prepare vanilla pudding. Pour over pineapple layer. Cover with tinfoil and refrigerate overnight. Before serving, spread cake with Cool Whip and sprinkle with coconut. Use 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
