CHRISTMAS CUT OUT COOKIES | |
3/4 c. lard 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. milk 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt Cream lard and sugar. Add milk, egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt and mix with lard mixture until you can handle the dough. Roll out to 1/4" thick. Cut out shapes. When baked, glaze with powdered sugar frosting. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes until edges are brown. Makes about 4 dozen. |
