CHEESY MEAT LOAF 
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 beaten eggs
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
4 oz. American cheese, diced (1 c.)
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce (1 c.)
1 c. soft bread crumbs (1 1/4 slices)
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves, crushed
1 1/2 lb. ground beef (ground turkey also works well)
1/2 lb. ground pork

Cook vegetables in boiling water until tender; drain. Stir in remaining ingredient except meat. Add meat; mix well. Shape into loaf in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 8 to 10.
