KEY LIME CHIFFON PIE | |
1 pkg. Royal key lime pie filling 1/2 c. sugar 2 1/2 c. water 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten 2 egg whites 1/4 c. sugar Combine Royal Key lime pie filling and 1/2 cup sugar in a saucepan. Gradually add water and egg yolks, stirring to keep mixture smooth. Cook over medium high heat. Stirring mixing until it starts to boil. If undissolved break flavor capsule and stir into filling. Cool slightly about 10 minutes. Beat egg whites until foamy. Add 1/4 cup sugar. Beat until soft peaks form. Stir filling into meringue. Turn into baked and cooled pie shell. 4 hours. If you want Key Lime meringue pie just put the meringue mixture on top and brown. |
