ITALIAN POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt

Put all ingredients in mixing bowl. Beat 20 minutes at medium speed. Do not preheat oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes in a greased and floured 9-10 inch tube pan.
