I bought a new bundt pan & had some very ripe bananas. So I went looking for new recipe and found this one. I followed it except for the chocolate chips and made a powdered sugar glaze, my family loved it.

So simple to make yet it's the best banana cake that I've ever found. My husband always needs thick icing put on his cakes- but not with this one! There is lots of flavor and it's jut sweet enough. The only change is that I add a tsp of cinnamon as it brings out the chocolate chip flavor a little more.

I tried this after getting a new Bundt pan. I was thinking of making a cake or dessert and you cant go wrong with banana and chocolate. I followed Walters alterations (used an entire bag of Giradelli semi sweet). I wish the recipe would specify on salted or non salted butter and white vs brown sugar. I just did half of each butter and mostly white sugar with a couple tea spoons of brown. Anyway, what a great cake! Love it with coffee.

After starbucks stopped selling their banana chocolate chip cake I was determined to make it myself. Luckily I came across this recipe (albeit i use slightly more chocolate chips and less nuts). The cake met all my expectations and then some. Moist, cakey, great blend of flavors. It should be allowed to cool for a number of hours though unless you like a melty cake.. I am making it tonight at 9pm and letting it sit until morning.
Thanks for the great recipe!

Just made this for dinner tonight. It was given enthusiastic yummms from three girls. I'm lazy so I didn't do all the separate sifting and mixing. It still turned out great without all the dirty bowls.

Delicious! My sister taught me to freeze my brown bananas so I can make banana bread with them later. I tried it for the first time and it turned out really well.
