CHOCOLATE COOKIES
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. salad oil
2 c. sugar
4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar, granulated sugar or finely chopped nuts

Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Mix together salad oil, the 2 cups of sugar and chocolate. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Stir in flour mixture, mix well. Cover and chill several hours or overnight. Shape into 1-inch balls. Chill until firm enough to handle, about 15 minutes.

Roll in powdered sugar or other selected ingredients until well coated. Place on ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until slightly firm and cracked. Cool on wire racks. Store in tightly covered container. Yield: 6 dozen.
