BAVARIAN CASSEROLE | |
2 celery stalks, chopped 1 med. onion, chopped 3 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. sage 1/4 tsp. sugar 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 c. beer 4 c. pumpernickel bread cubes (5 slices) 2 c. cubed cooked pork (10 oz.) Saute celery and onion in butter until soft; stir in seasonings. Add beer. Place bread and pork in a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Add beer-vegetable mixture; stir lightly. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Makes 4 servings. |
