OATMEAL CAKE AND FROSTING 
1 c. quick oatmeal
1 1/4 c. hot water
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs, beaten

Combine oatmeal and water. Let stand 10 minutes. Add butter, sugar, flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and eggs. Beat at medium speed until well combined. Pour into 9x13 inch greased pan. Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Frost while warm. Directions follow.

FROSTING:

1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. coconut
6 tbsp. melted butter
6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. brown sugar
