PINATA COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
4 to 5 tbsp. milk
Sm. gumdrops, chocolate coated malt balls
Colored sugar, colored candy sprinkles

In large mixer beat butter with electric mixer for 30 seconds. Add sugar, beat until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Add flour, mix well. Cover and chill 1 hour. Shape 1 tablespoon dough around candy to form ball. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Cool.

Stir together powdered sugar, vanilla and milk to make of dripping consistency. Dip top of cookies in frosting, sprinkle with sugar or candies. Yield: 36 cookies.
