BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
FILLING:

6 oz. cream cheese
1/3 c. sugar
Dash salt
1 egg
1 c. chocolate chips

CAKE:

1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/3 c. cooking oil
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
Nuts, chopped or powdered sugar

Mix filling; set aside. Mix cake ingredients. Line muffin tins with paper baking cups. Fill 1/3 full with cake batter. Put 1 rounded tablespoon of filling mixture in center. Sprinkle on chopped nuts or dust with powdered sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

(Very moist, chewy and rich - Anne's favorite!) Makes about 15 cupcakes.
