BANANA BREAD I 
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. wheat germ or oat bran
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. Butter Buds
1/2 c. honey
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. mashed banana
2 egg whites

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine dry ingredients, including nuts. Combine wet ingredients and stir into dry mixture until thoroughly blended. This will make a thick batter. Spread in a floured 8 1/2 x 4 inch loaf pan. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. After cooling for 10 minutes in the pan, transfer to a cooling rack. Allow banana bread to cool completely before cutting.

Note: To save time, obtain a bread maker by Dax or Panasonic or similar unit that mixes dough and cooks bread to completion.

Note: For any bread recipe that calls for oil, just replace oil with the equivalent volume of applesauce, water, or rice milk (amazake).
