GARDEN VEGETABLE PIE 
SESAME WHOLE WHEAT "PAT-IN" CRUST:

1 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. softened butter
1/4 c. sesame seeds
1 tbsp. brown sugar (optional)
2 tbsp. water

Mix together and pat into 9 inch pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes before filling.

FILLING:

2 tbsp. butter or oil
1/4 lb. sliced mushrooms, fresh
3 tbsp. whole wheat flour
1 c. low fat milk
1/4 lb. grated cheese (optional)
1 tsp. dry mustard (optional)
Salt, pepper, parsley and other herbs to taste
4 c. lightly steamed or sauteed vegetables (i.e., cauliflower, broccoli, carrots)
2 tbsp. sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat butter or oil and saute mushrooms. Add flour and saute, stirring until browned.

Gradually add milk and cook until sauce thickens. Add cheese, mustard, spices and herbs. Put cooked vegetables in crust and pour sauce over them. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake until vegetables are heated through and sauce bubbles.
