CHERRY GELATIN BARS 
3/4 c. melted butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
2 pkgs. Knox gelatin
1/2 c. cold water
2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. cold water
1/2 c. maraschino cherries
Coconut
1/2 c. nuts

Mix and put butter, brown sugar and flour into 9x13 inch pan. Prick with fork. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Set aside.

Boil for 2 minutes white sugar and 1/2 cup cold water. Pour over gelatin mixture, beating all the while. Beat until stiff. After it's stiff, fold in cherries and nuts. Pour mixture over crust and sprinkle with coconut. Chill and cut into bars.
