ANY FRUIT COBBLER | |
3/4 stick butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. flour, sifted 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. milk 2 c. any kind of fruit (peaches, blackberries, blueberries, etc.) Melt butter in baking dish. In separate bowl, mix 3/4 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk. Pour this into the melted butter. Do not mix. Mix cooked fruit with 3/4 cup sugar. Pour over batter. Do not mix. Bake at 325 degrees until brown, about 1 hour 15 minutes. Omit baking powder if self rising flour is used. If you use apples, sprinkle them with cinnamon before adding to batter. |
