2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 1/2-2 c. milk
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
2 tbsp. butter

Sift and measure flour. Sift it again with baking powder and salt. Combine egg and milk; stir into flour mixture. Add oil and stir to blend. Bake on a hot, lightly greased griddle, turning just once.

For syrup combine white sugar, brown sugar, water and butter. In saucepan boil 1 minute.
