CALIFORNIA CHICKEN 
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
1 c. uncooked rice
8-12 chicken parts, legs or thighs
1 c. cream of celery soup
2 c. water

Mix soup and rice in long loaf pan. Arrange chicken on top of the mixture. Sprinkle with pepper and melted butter. Pour 1 can of celery soup and two cans of water over the chicken (it will be full). Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
