CHOCOLATE MINT LAYER COOKIES 
COOKIE LAYER:

2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. sifted flour
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

MINT CREME FILLING:

1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. butter, softened
1 1/2 tbsp. milk
3/4 tsp. peppermint flavoring
Green food coloring

GLAZE:

3 oz. German sweet chocolate
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1-inch piece paraffin

COOKIE LAYER: Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Mix flour and sugar and add to chocolate mixture. Add eggs and vanilla. Pour into greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool.

FILLING: Combine ingredients and beat until smooth. Spread over cookie layer. Chill until firm.

GLAZE: Melt all ingredients together and spread over cookies. Cut into 1-inch squares. Makes 6 dozen.
