PINEAPPLE RICE DESSERT PAKISTANI
STYLE
 
8 oz. can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. oil
1 lb. rice, parboiled, drained
Pinch of saffron (or coriander)
1/4 c. raisins
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine pineapple and juice, sugar and oil to the rice. Put mixture in a baking dish and garnish with nuts and raisins. Dissolve saffron in 1 tablespoon warm water and sprinkle over the rice. Bake for 15 minutes and serve hot or cold.
