CHEESE CAKE 
1/2 lemon
1 c. strong coffee
1 tsp. brandy
1 c. heavy cream
3 tsp. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3/4 lb. cookies (Stella Doro "Margherite")
1 tsp. cocoa powder for garnish

Squeeze lemon; add juice to coffee and brandy. Set aside.

Whip cream with sugar. Beat cheese until smooth, mix with the cream and stir together until blended.

Spread plastic wrap in a loaf pan, covering the sides. Place cookies on the bottom and brush with coffee mixture until the cookies absorb the liquid.

Pour in half the cream mixture. Place more cookies on top and brush these with coffee mixture as before. Finish with the cream mixture. Cover with plastic film and place in the refrigerator at least 2 hours.

To serve, remove film and sprinkle cocoa powder over the top. Cut in slices. Will make 10 to 12 servings.
