MOM'S MEATBALLS IN SOUR GRAVY 
1 lb. hamburger
1 lb. sausage
1 egg
1 c. bread crumbs
1 tbsp. minced onion

Shape into balls. Roll in flour to dry for 2-3 hours. About 1/2 hour before meal, put sliced onion, 1 teaspoon mixed pickling spice in 1 1/2 pint boiling water. Boil 10 minutes. Add meatballs and boil rapidly for 20 minutes. Remove balls. Strain liquid and thicken with 1 tablespoon flour and 2 teaspoons vinegar.
