HUNGARIAN BAKED CHICKEN 
1/4 c. butter
1 broiler-fryer chicken (about 3 lbs.), cut up
Paprika
1 sm. head green cabbage (about 1/2 lb.), cut into 1/2 inch thickness
Salt and pepper
2 red cooking apples, cored and sliced
1 med. onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. lemon peel, grated
2 tsp. caraway seed
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese

Melt butter in large skillet with cover. Dust chicken lightly with paprika. Brown chicken on all sides over medium heat, cover; reduce heat. Cook chicken 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place cabbage in buttered 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover dish with foil. Bake 20 minutes. Remove from oven. Add apples, onion and lemon peel, caraway seed and sugar. Place chicken on top. Cover and continue baking 25 to 30 minutes longer or until tender. Remove from oven, uncover. Sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven just until cheese is melted.
