OATMEAL ROLLS 
1 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. cold milk
2 pkg. dry yeast
4 1/2 c. flour

Combine oatmeal, salt, shortening, and brown sugar. Stir in boiling water Add cold milk. Stir. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast. Stir well. Let rest for 5 minutes. Add flour and mix well. Knead for 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Let dough rise until double. Shape as desired and let rise 1/2 to 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees about 20 to 30 minutes.
