CARAMEL SAUCE 
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. syrup
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Put sugar, syrup and butter in a pan and stir until dissolved. Let mixture come to a boil, then turn on low heat. Caramelize 1/4 cup sugar in a skillet on high then turn to low. Dissolve good and pour first mixture in the caramelized mixture. Let boil when you pour mixture in and then set off heat. Add 1/2 pint whipping cream and boil for three minutes. Good served over angel food cake.
