POTATO SOUP 
3 slices bacon
1 1/2 c. diced raw potatoes
1 (1 3/8 oz.) pkg. dry onion soup mix
3 1/2 c. cold water
1/2 c. tomato juice
1/2 c. cooked peas

In 3 quart saucepan fry bacon until semi crispy. Remove bacon on paper towel and crumble. Then brown potatoes in the bacon grease over medium to low heat. Add soup mix, water and tomato juice. Stir and bring to boil over medium heat; cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Add peas. Heat until hot. Crumble bacon over the top and serve. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
