BUTTERSCOTCH OATMEAL YUMMIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tbsp. hot water
1 pkg. butterscotch bits
2 c. oatmeal (quick)
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugars. Add beaten eggs, hot water. Add flour mixed with soda. Add chopped nuts, oatmeal, and vanilla, then butterscotch bits. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 10-12 minutes.
