OATMEAL BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. self-rising flour
3 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 (12 oz.) bag butterscotch morsels

Cream together shortening and sugars. Add egg, water and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour and oatmeal mixing until well combined. Fold in butterscotch morsels. Drop by a spoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen.
