CALIFORNIA CASSEROLE 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 c. sour cream
1 bunch chopped green onions
1/2 c. sliced, pitted black olives
1 (8 oz.) pkg. 1/2" noodles
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
4 oz. cream cheese, softened

1. Combine beef, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, tomato sauce and paste. Bring to a boil, stirring meat. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes; stir occasionally.

2. In bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, onions and olives.

3. Cook noodles, drain and toss with butter.

4. Spoon 1 cup meat mix in bottom of greased, shallow 2 quart casserole. Spread noodles on top. Cover with remaining meat, then cheese mix. Top with shredded Cheddar.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
