ALMOND CRANBERRY SAUCE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
12 oz. raw cranberries
6 tbsp. apricot jam
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. slivered almonds

Combine sugar and water. Boil several minutes over medium heat to dissolve sugar. Wash berries and add to syrup. Cook 3-5 minutes or until they burst and become translucent. Remove from heat and stir in jam and juice. Chill. Add almonds at serving time.
