CARROT STUFFING FOR TURKEY | |
1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. finely chopped onion 2 c. diced celery 2 c. grated raw carrot 2 qts. bread cubes (2-4 day old bread) 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 tsp. poultry seasoning 1/2 c. liquid (milk, broth, water) Cook onion, celery and carrot in butter over low heat, stirring occasionally until onion is just soft, but not brown. Blend seasonings with bread cubes. Add onion, celery, carrot and butter. Blend. Pour liquid gradually over surface, stirring lightly. Add more seasoning as desired. Makes 2 quarts of dressing-stuffing for an 8-10 lb. turkey. |
