LASAGNA 
1/2 lb. ground beef, Italian sausage, or beef
1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
2 c. water
1 tsp. salt; optional
1 (12 oz.) pkg. long lasagna for 3 layers, uncooked
2 c. small curd cottage cheese
12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced or grated
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 can mushrooms; optional, added to sauce

Brown ground meat; drain. Add spaghetti sauce, water and salt; bring to boil. In 2 quart, approximately 12 x 8 inch baking dish, layer hot sauce, uncooked long lasagna, Mozzarella cheese, and cottage cheese; repeat layers ending with sauce. Garnish with Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover tightly with foil; bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand 5-10 minutes before cutting into squares. Makes 6 servings.

You may want to double recipe and freeze half for a later day.
