SOUTHERN PEACH COBBLER | |
1 c. fresh peaches, sprinkled with sugar 1 c. self rising flour 1 c. sugar 1 c. milk 1/2 stick butter 1. Heat fruit to boiling. 2. Place butter in 8 x 8 square baking pan and melt in 350 degree oven. 3. Mix sugar, milk, and flour to make batter 4. Pour batter in pan on top of butter. IMPORTANT! DO NOT STIR! 5. Pour boiling fruit on top of batter. DO NOT STIR! 6. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown. Hint: This recipe can be used with any fresh fruit or drained can fruit. It's best with peaches, cherries, blackberries or raspberries. Don't use pie filling, it's not juicy enough. |
