RAISIN CREAM PIE 
1/2 c. sugar
2 heaping tbsp. flour
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
1 3/4 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. raisins
1 baked pie shell

MERINGUE:

8 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites

Soak raisins in boiling water 5 minutes. Drain and set aside. Combine sugar, salt and flour. Add 1/2 cup milk and egg yolks, then remainder of milk. Cook over medium heat until thick and smooth, stirring constantly. Add butter, vanilla and raisins. Pour into pie shell and top with meringue. Put in oven and brown lightly. Beat egg whites until fluffy, add sugar slowly. When stiff, add vanilla. Spread on top of pie.
