ITALIAN RICE AND PEAS 
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
2 c. water
1 c. uncooked rice
1/2 c. chopped ham
1 tsp. chicken bouillon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Cook onion in butter in 2 quart saucepan until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally, reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 14 minutes. (Don't lift lid or stir). Remove from heat. Fluff rice with fork; cover and let steam 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in cheese with fork.
