SCALLOPED POTATOES 
6 med. or sliced potatoes
3 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. dried thyme
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk
2 c. cubed ham
4 slices American cheese
You can use any kind of cheese you like

Boil potatoes until tender, drain, reserving 1 cup liquid. Toss together 1 tablespoon butter (melted), bread crumbs, paprika, 1 tablespoon butter (melted), bread crumbs, paprika and thyme. Take remaining butter in skillet. Blend flour, mustard, salt and pepper. Make a gravy out of this. For liquids use milk and reserved potato liquid. Cook until thick and bubbly. Mix in ham and cheese until cheese melts.

Layer potatoes then, gravy mixture and then sprinkle on top the bread mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
