1 lb. top round steak or Swiss steak
Garlic powder, black pepper
1 onion, sliced
Flour

Dredge cut up pieces of meat in flour mixed with garlic powder and black pepper. Brown meat in 2 tablespoons Crisco and 2 tablespoons of butter. Slice up 1 onion and add to meat mixture. Add 1 cup of water and simmer for 2 hours. Serve with small boiled potatoes and a salad and you're set for a tasty meal.
