CHICKEN AND RICE BAKE 
3 to 3 1/2 lb. chicken fryer, cut up & salted
1 c. rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
2 c. water
Paprika
1 pkg. frozen peas
1/2 tsp. black pepper (or to taste)

Spread rice on bottom of a 13x9 inch baking dish. Mix frozen peas with rice and pepper and spread over rice. Sprinkle 1/2 onion soup mix over rice. Lay chicken pieces on top of rice. Sprinkle remaining onion soup mix over chicken. Mix water with cream of mushroom soup and pour over chicken. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Uncover, and sprinkle with paprika and bake about 20 minutes longer.
