YVONNE'S PITA (POCKET) BREAD AND
STUFFING
 
Pita (pocket) bread, opened
3 lbs. ground meat
2 onions, chopped
1 med. or lg. can ranch style beans
1 can tomato paste or tomato sauce
1 or 2 pkgs. Italian or Chili seasoning mix (if desired)
Cheese, sliced

Brown meat in Dutch oven; add onions and cook until clear. Drain well in colander. Return meat and onion mixture to Dutch oven. Add other ingredients, except cheese. Cook until desired thickness, stirring often to prevent sticking. Stuff pocket bread with warm mixture, top with cheese and heat on cookie sheet in preheated 350 degree oven until cheese is melted.

Note: Can add chopped tomato and chopped lettuce after taken from oven for taco-like taste. Makes a lot and can be frozen or recipe can be halved.
