MOM'S SWEDISH PASTRY | |
1 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 c. water 1/2 c. butter 1 c. flour 3 eggs 1 tsp. almond flavoring Blend 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter and 1 tablespoon cold water with pastry blender. Divide into two 3 x 11 inch strips on an ungreased cookie sheet. Cook 1 cup water and 1/2 cup butter. Remove from heat and add 1 cup flour and 3 eggs, one at a time, beating very well after adding each. Add almond flavor, spoon on top of strips and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Frost with powdered sugar frosting with almond flavoring added. Slivered almonds can be added to top. |
